Directed by Val Guest, U.K. “Akeeta!” “Akoba! “Zakk!” “Neekro!” I think I must have first seen this back when it aired on British telly in 1991. I went in, boyishly excited, for the dinosaurs but came out mesmerised by the droolingly beautiful Victoria Vetri. (And let’s not forget the lovely greased bodies of Imogen Hassall and Magda Konopka, either.) There are plenty of dinosaurs (excellently animated by Jim Danforth) and, although the movie as a whole is a touch overlong, it’s still great entertainment. Strange to think that Vetri was sentenced to nine years in 2011 for attempted manslaughter after shooting her husband. 4/5.
