Directed by Vanio Amici, Italy. Here’s an embarrassingly bad addition to the Italian post-apocalypse genre. In a futuristic Bronx (actually, the usual quarries and abandoned factories), two warring factions of “humanoids” and “androids” spend their time shooting at each other. Apparently, both groups are robots, but as to why they’re at odds… I’ve no idea (and neither did the scriptwriter). Into this fracas steps the new lawman, James, who’s been trained by Woody Strode in scenes edited in from a different movie altogether, 1984’s so-so THE FINAL EXECUTIONER. Elsewhere, Alex Vitale and his voice-dubber are indescribably woeful as leader of the humanoids. 2/5.
